Privacy policy
This policy explains how Aeonite handles personal information submitted through this website. Aeonite is maintained in Australia by its current custodian, Patrik Fagard. This policy is provided as a matter of good practice and applies whether or not a particular Australian privacy-law obligation applies in the circumstances.

Information collected
If you use the contact form, Aeonite receives your message, name, email address, and any personal information you choose to include in those fields. Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.
Aeonite does not provide user accounts, subscriptions, payments, or public profiles. It does not use client-side analytics scripts, advertising pixels, social-media trackers, or third-party embedded content. Aeonite does not set cookies.
The cPanel hosting environment records ordinary web-server access information. Depending on the hosting configuration, this can include an IP address, requested page, date and time, response status and size, referring page, browser or user-agent information, and request method or protocol.
cPanel-provided metrics tools, such as Visitors or AWStats when enabled, may process those server logs into basic traffic and error statistics. These are server-side operational statistics: Aeonite does not use them to track people across websites, combine them with contact-form correspondence, build advertising profiles, or serve targeted advertising.
How information is used
Contact-form information is used only as reasonably necessary to:
- receive, assess, and respond to your message;
- follow up on specification, conformance, publication, or website matters you raise;
- maintain relevant correspondence and project records;
- operate, secure, and diagnose the website and review basic aggregate traffic;
- detect abuse and protect the contact service; or
- meet applicable legal obligations.
Providing contact information is voluntary. Without a valid email address, Aeonite cannot reply to your message.
Aeonite handles personal information only for the purposes described in this policy and in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law.
Storage and disclosure
A submitted message is delivered by email to the Aeonite contact mailbox and the current custodian. Website-hosting and email-service providers may process the message and ordinary request information, including server logs and derived traffic statistics, as needed to provide those services.
Aeonite does not sell personal information, rent contact lists, or disclose contact details for marketing. Information may be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the security of the website or its users.
Hosting or email-provider infrastructure may route or store information outside Australia. The countries involved can vary with provider infrastructure. Aeonite does not otherwise intentionally disclose contact-form information to overseas recipients.
Retention and security
Contact correspondence is retained only while it is reasonably needed to respond, keep a relevant project record, resolve an issue, protect the service, or meet a legal obligation. It is deleted when it is no longer needed. Residual copies may remain for a limited period in routine service-provider backups.
Server logs and derived traffic statistics are retained and rotated according to the hosting configuration and are kept only for operational, security, diagnostic, and basic site-usage purposes.
Aeonite uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to this small collection footprint. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Access, correction, deletion, and concerns
To ask whether Aeonite holds contact correspondence about you, request access, correction, or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, use the contact form. Include enough information to identify the relevant message, but do not send additional sensitive information. Requests will be considered and answered within a reasonable time, subject to any applicable legal requirements or permitted retention.
If Australian privacy law applies and you are not satisfied with the response, information about privacy rights and complaints is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
This page will be updated if Aeonite changes what it collects or how information is handled. The date above identifies the current version.
